Veterans – Is not It A Wonder what people "think" The Iranian threat is unique boat?
If you are a veteran the first off, I must say "thank you". And I'm a vet too. And as a veteran myself, you and I know that there many "international incidents" we've all been part of but never really make the news. Although this latest incident should be taken very seriously We all know that there is nothing new and nothing unique. Veterans – Did you experience some or many international incidents While You Were serving? Please share a little and enlighten those who have never served. Thank you We've had what appeared to be hundreds of "incidents international "when I served in Panama 1981-1983, but it was probably more like 50 more. And we were on strict orders to keep his mouth shut. We could have easily declared war against Panama in 1981, but we stood firm in the hope that Noriega would stop his treachery. He did not.
Can not list them all but here are a couple: the Persian Gulf, where Iranian gunboats attacked the USS Vincennes.Resulted in crash an Iranian plane that was on a direct descendant and safer to Vincennes and the destruction of 2 / 3 of the Iranian navy. Combat theater still struggle 2 Iraqi Exocet missiles launched at one of our frigates.I believe that 20 sailors were killed. Same scene of battle when the mine exploded Iranian against one of our offers Destroyer combat theater even when one of our frigates sailed into a minefield and Iran was hit and severely damaged by a mine. same combat zone where my boat was targeted by overflown by an Iraqi fighter. Many, many more incidents.As you noted for those which are new, 100 did not.
